Travel Trek Ltd wants everyone to be able to find and book their trip on traveltrek.co.uk, including people who use assistive technology. This statement explains how accessible the website is and how to get help.
How we have built the website
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The website:
- can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link;
- uses headings, labels and landmarks so that screen readers can describe each page and form;
- works when you zoom up to 400% and on small screens, without content being lost;
- uses text with sufficient contrast against its background;
- respects your device's "reduce motion" setting by turning off animations;
- explains form errors in text, not only by colour.
Known limitations
- Hotel photos and descriptions come from our suppliers and may not have meaningful text descriptions.
- Card payments are taken on our payment provider's secure pages, which we do not control.
- The TripAdvisor widget is provided by TripAdvisor and may not meet every standard.
- Date fields use your browser's built-in date picker, which some older screen readers announce less clearly.
We are working to improve these areas. This statement is based on our own testing of the website.
Booking by phone and alternative formats
If you find any part of the website difficult to use, our travel experts can search and book for you on 020 8050 4143 (Mon-Sun 9am - 9pm). We can also send your booking documents in another format, such as large print. Please tell us when you book if you or anyone in your party needs assistance when travelling, such as help at the airport or an accessible room, and we will pass this on to the airline or hotel.
Reporting a problem
If you find an accessibility problem on the website, please email info@traveltrek.co.uk with the page address and a description of the problem. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
