This policy explains how Travel Trek Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser's local storage) on traveltrek.co.uk. Cookies are small files stored on your device that help websites work and give their owners information.

Your choices

When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics and marketing cookies. Rejecting them is as easy as accepting, and the website works fully either way. You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Analytics and marketing scripts are not loaded until you opt in. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Strictly necessary

These are needed for the website to work and cannot be switched off.

• tt_cookie_consent_v1 (local storage): remembers your cookie choices. Kept until you clear your browser data or change your choice.
• tt_booking_token and the Manage My Booking session (session storage): let you view your booking after paying or signing in to Manage My Booking. Deleted when you close the browser tab.
• Live chat (Tawk.to): only loaded when you click "Chat with us". Tawk.to then sets cookies (for example twk_uuid and TawkConnectionTime) so your conversation continues as you move between pages.
• Payment pages: when you pay, you are taken to our payment provider (Stripe or Trust Payments), which sets its own strictly necessary cookies for security and fraud prevention. These are covered by the provider's own cookie policy.

Analytics (only with your consent)

These help us understand how visitors use the website, for example which pages are popular, so we can improve it. The information is aggregated. If we use an analytics service such as Google Analytics, it sets cookies (for example _ga, kept for up to 2 years) only after you accept analytics cookies.

Marketing (only with your consent)

These are used to show you relevant offers on other websites and measure our advertising, and to display third-party content:

• TripAdvisor: our TripAdvisor rating widget is only loaded if you accept marketing cookies. TripAdvisor may then set its own cookies.
• Advertising platforms (for example Google Ads or Meta) set cookies only if you accept marketing cookies.
